Hi, I’m Emily, artist, outdoor enthusiast, professional hobby collector, and the human behind Rooted Wear Art. I’m the kind of person who sees something cool and immediately thinks, “I could probably make that.” Painting, digital art, sewing, herbalism, gardening, baking, crafting, I collect hobbies like some people collect coffee mugs, and I’m almost always in the middle of at least three projects at once. I’m a Colorado artist and mama to two wildly creative girls. When I’m not covered in paint, you can usually find me outside hiking, camping, hunting for mushrooms, growing something, making something, or dragging my family along on whatever adventure I’ve decided sounds fun that day. Nature is a huge part of what inspires my work, mountains, wildflowers, funky little creatures, big skies, and all the imperfect, colorful things that make the outdoors feel alive. My art is bold, playful, and usually very colorful. I also believe creativity can do more than just make something pretty. Through my Art With Impact mission, I create collections connected to causes I care about and donate a portion of the profits to nonprofits doing meaningful work in those spaces. Basically, I make art, collect entirely too many hobbies, spend as much time outside as possible, and try to leave things a little brighter than I found them. 🌼✌️
